Why online therapy?

Therapy works best when you feel seen, safe, and present. This is possible whether we’re in the same room or meeting through a screen. At Amara Therapeia, all sessions are offered virtually to give you the freedom to show up as you are, wherever you are in TX. Whether you’re curled up on the couch, parked in your car for a moment of silence, or squeezing in a session during a day of chaos, virtual therapy gives you flexibility without sacrificing depth.

Does it really work?

Yes! Research shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person care. What matters most is the connection we build, not the distance betwen us. Clients often tell me how surprised they are by the safety and attunement they feel, even through a computer screen.

-More comfort! You can have your coffee, your emotional support animal, a blanket, whatever helps you feel settled

Will it feel distant or impersonal?

That’s a common concern, especially for the relational and emotionally deep work like the therapy I offer is. I get it! But my sessions are anything but detached - we show up fully, even though we’re virtual. We pause, slow down, and feel the weight of things together. We make room for the sacred, skeptical, and sincere questions - the kind that deserve real attention.
